Dana Hall at Colby College

Waterville, Maine, 1999

This existing student dormitory was an integral part of the Colby College campus. Changes in student lifestyle led to the need for student Suites rather than standard rooms.

The dormitory restoration included new circulation, finishes, windows, doors, security and mechanical systems. In addition to the dorms, an entire new wing was added for a new Kitchen, Dining Hall and Cafeteria. A new entrance was added to handle the increased traffic to the Cafeteria and to increase security to the Suites. The entire facility was updated based on national ADA requirements

The roof of the new Cafeteria has become a popular area for student interaction and Dana Hall has become one of the most requested residences.
