Loma Linda Remodel
Loma Linda, CA, 2008
The client had originally wanted an addition to allow for a larger Kitchen, Bathroom and more storage. Instead of a formal addition, the circulation was changed to allow for a more efficient plan and new vistas were developed to allow for additional natural light. A total of 45 sq. ft. was actually added to the residence.
The Kitchen, Baths, Family Room and Laundry were redesigned using sustainable materials. New lighting and insulation were installed for better performance. Energy Star appliances and tank-less water heaters were used to replace the outdated systems and energy efficient doors and windows were installed adding to the amount of natural light within the home.
Exterior porches were designed as extensions to the interior rooms and to provide a comfortable area for relaxing and entertaining. Exterior Lighting and xeroscaping were used to enhance the site.
